Nourish Through Menopause

Regional & Community Workshops

Real Talk. Real Food. Real Support.

Perimenopause and menopause can feel isolating — especially in regional communities where specialist support isn't always close by. Symptoms like fatigue, weight changes, brain fog, and mood shifts affect everyday life, yet so many women are navigating this stage with little guidance or connection.

Nourish Through Menopause brings warm, evidence-based nutrition education directly to your community — in a relaxed, welcoming space where women can learn, ask questions, and feel genuinely supported.

Who Is This For?

• Women in perimenopause or menopause looking for practical, real-life guidance

• Community groups, rural women's networks, and neighbourhood organisations

• Health centres, GP clinics, pharmacies, or allied health practices

• Agricultural and farming communities wanting accessible health education

• Anyone wanting a supportive, no-judgement space to learn and connect

Unlike generic nutrition talks or complicated medical explanations, Chicky's approach focuses on:

  • Practical solutions you can implement immediately

  • Science-based information presented in accessible, everyday language

  • Regional specific guidance with ingredients and approaches relevant to those in communities without access to all of the brands/products, options and alternatives

  • Personalised attention with ample time for discussion and individual questions

"Chicky's workshop was a revelation. I finally understood what was happening in my body and learned practical ways to feel better through what I ate. The recipes are delicious, and I'm sleeping through the night for the first time in years. Loved I had access to this level of expertise when living out of the city." — Meg K., Warren.

About your facilitator

Chicky Hampshire brings together 35+ years of food wisdom and deep training in nutritional science, but what truly drives her work is helping women feel like themselves again. As a chef, clinical nutritionist, and educator specialising in women’s health, she supports women through the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause with compassion, clarity, and practical tools that genuinely make a difference.

After guiding hundreds of women to reclaim their energy, mood, gut health, confidence, and vitality through nutrition, Chicky created this workshop to bring that same support to women across regional NSW.

Her sessions make complex science feel simple and empowering. Showing women how food can steady their hormones, lift their energy, support bone and heart health, improve sleep, and bring joy back to eating. She also teaches how to read food labels with confidence so every woman can make choices that truly nourish her body and her life.

“I wish I’d known this years ago”

“I wish I’d had access to this information 10 years ago! So much of what you shared, I’ve had to figure out on my own. Thank you for opening up these conversations and helping make sense of it all.

The workshop was a fantastic day of learning, listening, and finally understanding what so many of us quietly go through — the unexpected sadness, the confusion, the bloating, the weight changes, those ‘what’s happening to my body?’ moments.

Being in a room with women, in the right place, with the right support, who truly understand and know how to help, was incredibly empowering. You deserve to understand your body.”

Our Host Community

"I was honoured to host the Menopause Workshop led by Chicky Hampshire — what a day! With a dozen Mudgee locals, we learned about the often-overlooked symptoms of peri- and post-menopause, the importance of food choices, moving our bodies, and asking our GPs empowered questions.

I cannot recommend enough that you gather your friends and reach out to Chicky for her professional, empathetic and honestly life-changing workshop. Your body will thank you — as will your family!"

Ali, Mudgee - 2025

"Hosting Chicky for our Texas Nourish Through Menopause workshop was such a rewarding experience. The process was simple and not time-consuming. All I had to do was ensure I had a TV for the presentation and Chicky did the rest, ,providing all the food for lunch plus a yummy morning tea on arrival!

I felt it was such a positive, important opportunity to offer women in my community, and I was honestly blown away by Chicky's willingness to travel to our little town.

Michelle, Texas — 2026

Frequently ASKED questions

  • How is this workshop different from other menopause seminars?
Unlike many menopause programs that focus solely on medical interventions or general wellness advice, this workshop specifically addresses the nutritional aspects of hormonal transition. Chicky combines evidence-based nutritional science with practical cooking skills, giving you concrete strategies you can implement in your own kitchen. The workshop emphasises practical, accessible solutions rather than complicated dietary protocols or expensive supplements.

I'm not sure if I'm in perimenopause yet. Is this workshop still appropriate for me?
Absolutely. Many women begin experiencing subtle hormonal changes in their early 40s or even late 30s without recognising them as perimenopause. This workshop provides valuable nutritional strategies that benefit women at any stage—whether you're just beginning to notice changes, in the midst of perimenopause, or well into your menopause journey. The nutritional principles covered support overall hormonal health and can be beneficial even if you're simply planning ahead.

Will this workshop address weight management during menopause?
Yes, but with a compassionate, realistic approach. The workshop covers how hormonal changes affect metabolism and fat distribution during menopause. Rather than focusing on restriction or weight loss diets, Chicky teaches nutritional strategies that support metabolic health, muscle maintenance, and energy balance. The emphasis is on nourishing your changing body appropriately rather than fighting against natural transitions.

Do I need cooking experience to benefit from this workshop?
Not at all. The culinary components are designed for women of all cooking abilities, from beginners to experienced home cooks. Chicky demonstrates simple, adaptable techniques that can be mastered by anyone. The recipes prioritise accessibility, using readily available ingredients and straightforward methods that fit into busy lives.

  • What should I bring to the workshop?
You will be provided an extensive handbook covering all elements in the workshop. For the full-day immersive workshop that includes cooking components, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. All cooking equipment, ingredients, and materials are provided. A detailed preparation email will be sent to all registered participants one week before the workshop.

Are there any dietary restrictions accommodated in the cooking portions?
Yes, we can accommodate most common dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Please note your specific requirements during registration so we can prepare accordingly. For less common restrictions or severe allergies, please contact us directly before booking to discuss accommodation options.

Will there be ongoing support after the workshop?
Yes. All workshop formats include access to a private online resource page with recipes and materials covered in the session. The half-day and full-day workshops include email support for two weeks following the event where you can ask Chicky follow-up questions. Full-day workshop participants also receive a 30-minute personal follow-up consultation via phone or Zoom within one month of the workshop.

    Can I get a refund if I can't attend?
Refunds are available up to 14 days before the workshop date. Within 14 days, we offer credit toward a future workshop or the option to transfer your registration to another person. In case of unexpected illness or emergency, please contact us directly to discuss options.

  • I'm taking HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). Will the nutritional advice still apply to me?
Yes. The nutritional strategies taught in this workshop complement medical treatments like HRT rather than replacing them. Many women find that combining appropriate medical care with targeted nutrition provides the most comprehensive support during perimenopause and menopause. The workshop addresses specific considerations for women using various forms of hormone therapy.

Is this workshop appropriate for women who've had a hysterectomy?
Absolutely. Women who have undergone hysterectomies (with or without oophorectomy) experience unique hormonal transitions that can benefit greatly from nutritional support. The workshop addresses these specific circumstances and provides tailored guidance for surgical menopause as well as natural menopause.

My doctor hasn't been helpful about my perimenopause symptoms. Can this workshop replace medical care?
While this workshop provides valuable nutritional strategies that may significantly improve your symptoms, it's designed to complement rather than replace appropriate medical care. Chicky can help you understand the connections between nutrition and your symptoms, which may empower you to have more productive conversations with healthcare providers. The workshop includes guidance on working collaboratively with healthcare teams and advocating for comprehensive care. You should always seek medical advice.

I have a specific health condition (like thyroid disease, diabetes, etc.). Will this workshop be relevant for me?
The workshop covers core nutritional principles that benefit most women during perimenopause and menopause, including those with common health conditions. While Chicky addresses how certain health conditions may interact with menopausal symptoms, the workshop cannot provide individualised medical nutrition therapy for specific conditions. During workshop Q&A sessions, Chicky can offer general guidance on adapting strategies for common conditions, and she offers private consultations for more personalised support.

  • Have a living space or sitting room to accommodate your guests [I usually ask for a minimum of 12]
